Shipping Information

Shipping from the West Coast?

For our customers in the west, we have two distribution centers to help reduce shipping costs. You may ship or deliver your skins to one of the addresses below and we will transport them to our tanning facilities in Michigan. Choose the location closest to you. Please specify "Mt. Pleasant" or “Leslie" so we can deliver your skins to the tanning facility of your choice. Our center in Ogden UT will only accept dried, salted skins.

Shipping Instructions

The Wildlife Gallery will be closed on the days listed below and therefore will not be able to receive shipments. Frozen or rush items should not be shipped with an arrival date that falls on one of the following days: New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Opening Day of Deer Season Michigan (Nov. 15th), Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year's Day. Shipping companies have been notified and will hold deliveries that fall on these days.

1. Dry salted skins should be shipped in a cardboard box or a wooden crate. Do not ship skins in plastic bags, as they retain moisture and may cause bacteria action to speed up.

2. Each shipment should contain a packing list detailing the contents of that shipment. Packing lists are available upon request or can be downloaded from our website.

3. Each box should also have a shipping label affixed to it. This label should include your name, address and phone number or e-mail address. Shipping labels are also available upon request.

4. If shipping more than one box, please indicate the number box it is of the entire shipment (i.e. Box 1 of 4, 2 of 4, etc.).

5. It is recommended that you keep record of the tracking numbers on each shipment, in order to confirm delivery or track lost boxes.

6. Hides are checked in completely on a daily basis. If you have not received a confirmation from us within a reasonable amount of time please contact us.

International Shipments

We are a U.S.D.A. certified institution and a licensed importer/exporter through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. We can assist you in getting your trophies cleared through the various government agencies and all of their confusing paperwork. We work very closely with a couple brokerage firms and have had very good success clearing international shipments with very little hassle. Contact us and we can provide you with the necessary paperwork, before you or your client’s hunt, to make the importation of trophies much easier.

International shipments should be addressed to us and include both the hunter’s and the taxidermist’s name. Unless otherwise instructed we will assume that the hides will be dry tanned upon arrival.
